We have been using lab manager for a long time and it is a great product. One of our new customers is using VMware View and it is nice to be able to log into their Windows XP VM they provide from anywhere (PC, iPad, etc.).
In our small 10 person company, we work with multiple customers who all have their own VPNs, policies, etc. and it would be great not to have it all in separate VMs on our laptops. We had tried using Lab Manager a year or so ago as a place to drop these virtual machines and jump on the company VPN to get into the lab, fire up a customer VM. But, the minute we activated the customer VPN inside the VM in our lab, the network connection would drop in our ssh or vnc session between our laptop and the machine (makes sense as the VM was routing its network traffic through the client vpn).
Is there a way around this with lab manager, is lab manager the right tool for this, or should we look at VMware View (no concept of the cost of VMware View).
Appreciate any insight you all may have.
Thanks,
-Bill
