Good day all,
I am not looking to re-invent the wheel but would love to make an addition to remediation of the host, clusters ect. What I would really like to be able to do is when doing remediation of a cluster, update manager will start the process by scanning for needed updates based on the baseline and if update manager finds patches to install on the host, update manager will place the host in MM and install the patches. I would really like to add a call to CMDB to open a change either right before or right after the host is put in MM and then close the change as soon as the patching is done and update manager takes the host out of MM.
If a host is up to date then the host is never put in MM and the process moves on to the next one and I am trying not to have to open any change tickets on systems that are up to date and do not get any patches during the process.
I hope that makes sense and wanted to see if anyone is going anything like that and how you did it.
Thanks
Steve
