Remove "Tags" from a single VM

I came across an issue where instead of me manually "de-tagging" these VM's I wanted to create a script BUT I haven't been able to find a cmdlt to remove an INDIVIDUAL tag from a single VM. I have found how to remove all tags and can create the script to copy the tags that were on the vm's ahead of time and put it in a variable and reattach those tags after removing ALL the tags.

It seems a bit of work to do a simple thing and thought there might be an easier way of doing it.
