vSphere Web Client, Anybody doing anything like this?

I am creating some specific workflows that will be presented for use in the vSphere 6 Web Client. In this workflows I am trying to figure out how to pull the current logged on user in vCenter to populate a requested_by input variable.  the reason for this is all this workflows will open either an Incident, Change or Request in the CMDB and would use that value in the CMDB request.  Anyone pulling that info this way?  FYI I am using a shared account for the vRO vSphere plugin
