question about AD destroy computer workflow

I have a question about the Destroy a computer and delete its subtree workflow.

I've noticed that sometimes, when I delete a computer object in AD manually, it prompts me about sub items (and I say yes to delete them).

Right now I'm using the destroy a computer workflow which works fine but should I change to the delete subtree version to handle any situations like the one mentioned above?

Is there any harm in using the subtree version even if there is no subtrees on an AD element? I'm just a little afraid to try this option live in case it doesn't do what I think it's going to do and I delete stuff by accident
