Cloning Windows Template sets NIC connection to "Disconnected"

Cloning a Windows Template sets the Network Interface connection on the cloned VM to "Disconnected"

I initially created the template from a stopped VM and then tried a running VM; however, each time the Network Interface of a VM created from the template shows "Disconnected"

Is there a way to set this connection to "Connected" at the conclusion of a clone operation?

I saw a previous post where the poster wanted to be able to control the Network Interface Connection.  The response was to use Onyx.  I don't necessarily want to control the setting.  I just want it to be always set to "Connected" upon the completion of a cloning operation.

Any suggestions on how to do it in a quick and easy fashion?
