need help with vm placement into folder tree structure

We have the following tree structure for our VM folders in VCenter: DCS           environment                                 operating system                                                             business area                                                                                     service The base folder is always DCS, the other values (env, OS, ba, service) will be passed. The challenge for me is finding the correct subfolder when the values are the same. I need to be able to pass the "full" path of the last subfolder (service) in order to get the right match to pass on to clone vm workflow. I have seen a few posts that come close to this, but I am unable to make them work. Has anyone tacked this and can you provide your solutions/ideas? thanks.
