We have upgraded our lab vCenter/ESXi/vCO/vCloud to 5.5.2 and discovered a new bug. When running a workflow that includes the "instantiate a vapp" in parallel. error performing bulk delete - Transaction (Process ID 79) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.; majorErrorCode=500; minorErrorCode=INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR; vendorSpecificErrorCode=null; (Dynamic Script Module name : instantiateVAppTemplateVdc#1)
I suspect that this is a new problem introduced with vco 5.5.2. In my tests the problem showed up immediately after upgrading. Initially I was using vcloud plugin 5.5.0.1999678 and now have upgraded to 5.5.1.2.2008336. Both fail in the same way. This workflow is part of the library workflows that ship with the vcloud vco plugin. VMware support suggested making changes to the SQL DB outlined in this KB http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2072574 but it did not help. We leverage this workflow heavily in our private cloud automation. This will be a blocking issue for us upgrading in production. Anybody have suggestions or workarounds for this issue?
Thanks,
Blake
