Connectivity between vCO and vCAC broken

Hello,

We have been running vCAC 5.2 for the last 6 months, we have created quite a few vCO workflows that allow us to update our uCMDB, add the machine to DNS and other business processes.  We use the invoke vCO workflow from the vCAC Designer which works well to kick off the workflows before the vm is provisioned.  Throughout the provisioning process the vCO server updates the vCAC database with information it gets like vm name and ip address.  This process has been working flawlessly up until two weeks ago and now the communication from vCO to vCAC doesn't work.  The connection from vCAC to vCO work just fine, the workflow kicks off but fails when it tries to communicate back, here is the error we are getting:

java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated (Workflow:Update a vCAC host / Update the host (item0)#10210)

We have looked at the certificates on both the vCO server and vCAC they all look good.  I have checked with our network folks to see if anything changed in our network that would cause this issue and we have found none.  After looking at the docs the communication from vCO and vCAC is on port 443, both servers are listening on that port.

One interesting fact we found in our troubleshooting is if i restart the vCO service from the vCO configuration page the connection appears to work.  The vCAC inventory object in vCO show up with all the right information, i can run the verify host workflow and it verifies just fine.  If i then run though a provisioning process through vCAC the vCO workflow kicks off and then fails when i tries to communicate back.

Has anyone run into this issue before?  Have you seen where the communication just stops working one way?

Thanks for any help
